The WAWFL provided a Saturday night highlight under lights at Fremantle Oval, courtesy of the fired up derby between the South Fremantle Bulldogs and East Fremantle Sharks.

The venue for the 2016 WA Women’s Football League and WA Football Commission Youth Girls Grand Finals has been confirmed with Leederville’s Medibank Stadium set to host the deciders on Sunday, 28 August.

Following an expression of interest tender process earlier this year, Subiaco Football Club was confirmed as the successful applicant, allowing Grand Finals to be hosted at Medibank Stadium.

Star forward Aleisha Duncan has booted 5 goals to help the Perth Angels to a 32-point win over the East Fremantle Sharks in Round 8 of the West Australian Women’s Football League Reserves on Sunday.

The Angels led at every change at ATOM Stadium to record an 8. 12 (60) to 4. 4 (28) victory, claiming their fifth win of the season and moving them up to third on the ladder.

The WAWFL welcomes two new members who have recently joined the WAWFL Board, and thanks our existing board members for all their wonderful, supportive and hard work. Their commitment plays a huge role in ensuring the WAWFL leads the way as we look forward to a Women's AFL competition in 2017.
