The venue for the 2016 WA Women’s Football League and WA Football Commission Youth Girls Grand Finals has been confirmed with Leederville’s Medibank Stadium set to host the deciders on Sunday, 28 August.
Following an expression of interest tender process earlier this year, Subiaco Football Club was confirmed as the successful applicant, allowing Grand Finals to be hosted at Medibank Stadium.
WAWFL President Carolyn Hills said the move to Leederville would provide a great venue to showcase the season’s most exciting day.
“Our Grand Finals are the biggest day in the WAWFL calendar, and for them to take place at such a central location is a great start”.
“I encourage everyone to get to Leederville to embrace the best football of the season as three teams are crowned Premiers.”
The 2016 WAWFL and Youth Girls Grand Finals Day triple-treat promises to be a great day out for fans young and old, with six hours of football excitement.
Following the success and positive feedback from previous years, all Grand Finals will be filmed and streamed online.
Whilst the teams are yet to be decided, preparations are well underway to ensure the biggest day on the WAWFL calendar is not to be missed.
WAFC Youth Girls, Reserves and League Grand Finals will all take place on the day, with entry $5 including a yearbook.
