2013 AFL Womens Nationals Squad AnnouncedWednesday, May 22, 2013 - 12:16 PM
The AFL Women’s National Championship squad has been named to represent WA at the National Championships in Cairns, Queensland from June 17 to 21.
The Western Australian State Squad aims to be victorious against the Victorian team this year, and have been training heavily under direction of head coach Neil Mildenhall since October.
The Open squad will travel to Cairns for the AFL Women’s National Championship and will strive to bring the cup back to WA mid-year.
With many of the players heading to the AFL Draft directly from this Opens competition, we know the competition will be tough and wish the team all the best.
Congratulations to all selected players, from here the final 27 will be chosen with 3 training on.
We know you will do your state proud.
