Established 2016!
It’s been an exciting year of firsts for the East Perth Women’s Football Club!
We kicked off our season against Peel Thunderbirds at Rushton Park and while we didn’t walk away with a win, we could not have hoped for a better first round experience for our teams. Thank you, Thunderbirds, for the fantastic welcome to the League and for your encouragement!
Our teams
Our first year in competition has seen a group of girls largely new to the game come together to finish the season itching to get started on season 2017!
Our Youth Girls were inspiring in their fearless passion for the game and the Club could not have been prouder when the team won us our first ever u18s game. Captain Tahlea Martin summed it up best - “I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness seeing the team run off with massive smiles and knowing all the hard work had paid off.”

Our Reserves lost some run and experience midway through the season with the loss of Lillian Thomas, Mina Nguyen and Fiona Sammin. We didn’t lose our spirit though! Our ‘code hopping’ Captain and play maker, Kim Youdan, kept us inspired; as did the consistently outstanding performances of Skye Cameron and Josie Mark. First year players and ‘hoppers’, Beth Dawson (cricket), Janis Burgess (netball) and Nikki Oliver (rugby) inspired in their commitment to personal improvement and playing the game plan.

Our management
Getting the Club up and running in time for Round 1 was a massive challenge and it’s one that our relatively inexperienced Management Committee rose to admirably! Special mention to our Development and Fundraising sub-ommittees, and to Kristie Robinson and Gemma Francis for their contribution to our inaugural year’s success.

The support we received from the community leading into our first season was humbling. Thank you also to the East Perth Football Club for sharing your history and tradition with us; we wear it with honour and pride and look forward to becoming a powerful East Perth representative force in the female game.
